With an upcoming general election, the release of the last Harry Potter movie, and news that Chris Evans will be back on air only this time on Radio 2, for the sports fanatic, the 2010 schedule of global sports events should make the other events of the year quite dull actually. Sport stars are busy this year, travelling all around the world to compete in many events, some of which stand out a bit more than others, like the football World Cup hosted in South Africa. Kicking off on 11 June with a match between the host nation and Mexico (England take on America the following day), the event is set to be one of the highlights of the 2010 schedule especially when it comes to global sports.

Then on top of that there’s the Cricket World twenty20 among others, Champion’s League football, the Common Wealth games in New Dehli, India, and the WBC super middle weight title fight between Carl Froch and Mikkel Kessler with plenty more.

Six Nations Rugby is in full swing, and fans are eager to get tickets for the finals which will be taking place on March 20 2010. So far England has had two victories and one agonising loss to date, and fans are wondering whether or not they will be able to beat Scotland and challenge [...]

Roger Federer believes his 6-3 6-4 7-6(11) win at the 2010 Australian Open against Andy Murray is one of his finest accomplishments yet. His hard work, tactical aggression, dedication and focus definitely paid off in the tennis final, which was watched by a capacity crowd at Rod Laver Arena on 20 January 2010. This was [...]
